As with the rest of America, the most important festivals and celebrations are the domestic and on 4 July when we celebrate the independence of the United States when it ceased being a British colony or from the date of Thanksgiving in it takes the traditional dinner Thanks Living, commemorating the alleged friendship between settlers and indigenous people.
Besides these events there are other Americans typically specific to the city of Baltimore that can also be interesting and the most important is the Baltimore Opera Festival, which is considered one of the oldest and most prestigious U.S. .
Dining in Baltimore
In general the cuisine of the United States is the result of a fairly wide mix of other national cuisines and the whole country has been formed from migrations from different European countries like England and Ireland among others. Along with these European cultures, but also Asia and Africa, the characteristic of Native Americans have created a very mixed kind of food with lots of ways to prepare food.
Today, however, is much more popular among Americans of fast food and some traditional dishes such as the Baked beans, have been relegated to the time of the dinner at the best.
Still, it is worth visiting some of the restaurants in town and know the special way of interpreting the ancient recipes of the first immigrants and natives, as a good option to get away from fast food.
