Tourism in Baltimore

With the reconstruction of the inner harbor in the late 70s, Baltimore set the standard for urban renewal. While much of the city events are held in the port area, where there are many street entertainers, outdoor concerts, fireworks and parades, the surrounding neighborhoods offer all sorts of interesting landmarks, unique shops and great restaurants.

Stroll through the area of Fells Point, the oldest part of Baltimore, which resembles the old English village with its pubs and cobblestone streets. Take the kids to the Aquarium and discover the imaginative creations of the Visionary Art Museum. If you prefer, stop by the museum and birthplace of Babe Ruth to know in detail the life of the famous baseball player nicknamed the Great Bambino.
Baltimore is also famous for its African American heritage sites and festivals and cultural events are held throughout the year. Both for historical sites and cruises as well as its attractions for the whole family and great neighborhoods, Charm City, as it is known, is a major U.S. tourist destinations.
