The old inland port located in the heart of downtown Baltimore has been renovated and converted into a large shopping and entertainment. The ports and the streets surrounding the inner harbor now have museums, restaurants, shops, entertainment venues and hotels. They are also located in this area the National Aquarium, the Maryland Science Center, The Port Discovery Children’s Museum and the World Trade Center Baltimore. The port will also find the USS Constellation (the last ship to sail completely mobilized, built by the naval forces), the lightship Chesapeake and the vessel U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Taney. Baltimore has a team of National League Baseball, the Orioles, playing in the beautiful Camden Yards, a few blocks from the Inner Harbor. It also has a football team in the NFL, the Ravens, who play in a stadium just south of Camden Yards. It also has two horse racing tracks to race, including the famous Pimlico, which is the birthplace of world famous horse Preakness. The city of Baltimore has many old ethnic neighborhoods. A few have been restored and refurbished into interesting shopping and dining with plenty of character. Little Italy is located a few blocks east of downtown. Offers many Italian restaurants, selling supplies and food and pastry shops. From the center, is only 15 minutes walk or 10 minutes by taxi.

Fells Point, a small community based on the shipbuilding industry is located 3 miles east of downtown along the harbor basin, and has been renovated into a shopping and entertainment. The old central markets still offer a variety of meats, fruits and vegetables, traditional delicacies from different countries and seafood. The surrounding shops have been beautifully restored and converted to bars, restaurants, boutiques, art galleries and music stores. During weekends, there is live music and entertainment, which attracts many young people. You can get to Fells Point with a 10-minute taxi ride or a 15-minute water taxi.

The Federal Hill district of Baltimore is just south of the Inner Harbor basin. Its most prominent feature is the small hill located directly south of the port. From the top of Federal Hill Park will have a panoramic view of the city.
