Similarly, the shopping centers are concentrated near Route 95 and Route one, and about some of the largest decreases of 695. Shopping centers Towson Town Center Mall and the White Marsh Mall are in the northern suburbs and the huge Arundel Mills Mall, with over 200 stalls selling factory direct, is just south of the city in Hanover, Maryland. Some shopping centers and upscale boutiques and near the Inner Harbor in downtown area, including Harborplace and the Gallery at Harborplace.

Annapolis, the Maryland state capital and one of the oldest cities in the U.S., is located just 25 miles southeast of Baltimore. It is a beautiful small town, nestled in a picturesque setting on the Chesapeake Bay, with some of the eighteenth century architecture and best-preserved nineteenth across the country. Here is the U.S. Naval Academy and St. John’s College, founded in 1696. These historically significant attractions are just 30 minutes drive from downtown Baltimore.

Ellicott City is a beautiful community with a restored historic district located just a few miles south of the 695 beltway around Baltimore. The central business district has a variety of quaint shops, art galleries and restaurants.

Washington DC, the capital of our nation is less than an hour south of Baltimore. You can take the MARC or AMTRAK train to Union Station, you can drive to one of the parking lots in the suburbs of Washington or you can go all the way by car to downtown Washington. There are so many monuments, museums and historical attractions in the city that does not attempt to list them all. It is one of the best tourist destinations in the eastern United States.

The city of Baltimore, Maryland, is located on the shores of the vast Chesapeake Bay nearly 200 miles (300 km) inland from the Atlantic Ocean. It is located approximately 35 miles (60 km) northeast of Washington DC and 75 miles (125 km) southwest of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. One of the major ports in the east coast of the United States, with extensive facilities for cargo vessels and car carriers. It is an old city, full of character and many important historical attractions.

Inner Harbor

The old inland port located in the heart of downtown Baltimore has been renovated and converted into a large shopping and entertainment. The ports and the streets surrounding the inner harbor now have museums, restaurants, shops, entertainment venues and hotels. They are also located in this area the National Aquarium, the Maryland Science Center, The Port Discovery Children’s Museum and the World Trade Center Baltimore. The port will also find the USS Constellation (the last ship to sail completely mobilized, built by the naval forces), the lightship Chesapeake and the vessel U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Taney. All are open to the public. The Baltimore Inner Harbor is a very colorful and interesting.

The Harbor is located right in the center of the Inner Harbor basin. They have a variety of businesses, a center with many fast food options and a good variety of restaurants. You can buy a souvenir of Baltimore and sit down to feast one of the original crab cakes while enjoying the scenery of the port. You can walk along the esplanade to the Science Center or the Aquarium, or can tour the USS Constellation and the other museum ships. Water taxis depart from the pier just behind the Harbor and take it to Fells Point, Little Italy or Fort McHenry. Tickets for water taxis for a day are $ 6.

If you have kids you know that they are just waiting for a sponge to absorb knowledge and information. They never stop learning and questioning the world. If you’re vacationing in Baltimore there is nowhere you can go to give children experiences that are entertaining and educational. That place is Port Discovery. Keep reading and I’ll tell you a little more about the popular Baltimore destination.

Port Discovery is a children’s museum that has become very popular. This museum is home to three floors of exhibits with something for kids of all ages although it is designed more for children between the ages of six and twelve. One of the exhibits in this museum is called “Adventure Expedition”. In this exhibition, children can travel back in time to the period of Ancient Egypt and go on an interactive journey in search of a pharaoh’s tomb. Another exhibition is “Miss Perception mystery House”.

Here the children can help to solve the mystery by piecing together clues and evidence hidden in different rooms. Yet another exhibition is “The Diner” where children can cook and serve food to their parents. This exhibition takes the form of canteen 50 and allows the children to use math skills to call their orders and can also play music on a real jukebox. These only scratches the surface of the exhibition is available at the museum. As you can see there is something more for the children to explore and learn from. Your kids will love making this appeal should see any parent.

There is absolutely no longer cheap hotel in Washington, DC so they look there for Obama’s inauguration room less fortunate. Usually you can find reasonably priced rooms in DC, the national capitol. However, we all know what happened on January 20, and unless you can book rooms for more than $ 600 a night, Washington DC is not available to you around that time. And, you will not find inauguration discount for accommodation.

Baltimore is your best bet. It is not far to the capitol by train. However, many people have taken this idea and they were mostly full in Baltimore, too. You still can get a room for $ 100 a night at the Best Western Hotel Baltimore, but you better hurry. Baltimore is a good choice because now there will be heavy security and a large mass in DC, Baltimore will be removed from all the confusion and it is a great little town to tour around the harbor at any time. You will find the views of the Inner Harbor from Federal Hill Park. This is a city rich in history and the Battle of Baltimore inspired the lyrics here United States national anthem.

In addition to Baltimore, there are still rooms available in Hagerstown, Maryland, but it was quite a way further. An even better bet if you can get them when they last were $ 80 rooms are still available at the Quality Inn Mount Vernon Alexandria, which is even closer to the House of Representatives from Baltimore. They were stolen and are still available if you can get it.

Do not despair if you cannot find a place to say in DC there will be rooms available in the surrounding area. For experienced travelers, the experiences of staying at the hotel say Baltimore or hotels in the towns near the capital in places like Alexandria. If you find anything in a city or town, the search for another. Your persistence will be rewarded.
